JATE Communication Product Certification

Japan's Ministry of Public Administration and Interior, Post and Telecommunications (MPHPT). The Japanese Telecommunications Business Law stipulates that Japanese telecommunications equipment is compulsorily certified. Telecommunications commercial law was established in 1985, and Article 68 states that MPHPT authorizes qualified agencies to implement the qualification of technical conditions.

MPHPT authorized JATE to be the only qualified agency to implement a qualified accreditation for the technical environment. This accreditation is JATE accreditation. JATE recognizes the mandatory certification of telecommunications equipment for public networks. Approved equipment can be connected to the public network and does not need to be checked by the telecommunications provider.

JATE recognizes the need to put the certification mark on the product, and the certification mark uses a serial number.
