E-MARK
Release time:2020-03-09

European E / e-Mark certification-that is, the European Common Market, for automotive, locomotive and its safety parts and components, noise and exhaust gas, etc., must comply with the provisions of the European Union [EEC Directives] and the European Economic Commission [ECE Regulation] If the product meets the certification requirements, a certificate of conformity is granted to ensure the safety of the vehicle and the requirements of environmental protection. Specifically, the E-Mark and E-Mark certification E-Marks have different numbers depending on the certification country. For example, when applying to Denmark, the E-Mark mark is E18 / e18.
E / e Mark certification applicable products include:
1. Vehicles-motorized vehicles with two or more wheels, such as passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses and off-road vehicles;
Automobile and motorcycle components-lights and bulbs, various sight glasses, tires, wheels, brakes, horns, anti-theft devices, safety belts, automobile glass and exhaust pipes;
3. Automobile and motorcycle accessories-safety helmets, child safety seats, electrical products attached to the car, etc.
Since October 2002, all vehicles, vehicle parts, and electronic products used in vehicles must be subjected to EMC testing. All electronic components sold in Europe must conform to EMC Directive 95/54 / EC, and self-declaration according to EMC directive 89/336 / EEC will no longer be valid. The E / e Mark certificate is issued by the notified body authorized by the European Union for vehicle products. In other words, the original CE (EMC) certification for vehicle electronics and electronic components will no longer be valid from October 2002. You must re-apply for the E / eMark certificate issued by the European national transportation department before selling on the European market.
Europe has safety certification requirements for motor vehicles and safety-related components and systems, which are embodied in the E mark and e mark certification:
The E mark is derived from the Regulation issued by the Economic Commisssion of Europe (ECE). At present, ECE includes 28 countries in Europe. In addition to EU member states, it also includes Eastern European, Southern European and other non-European countries. ECE regulations are recommended for members to apply, not mandatory standards. Member states can apply ECE regulations or extend their national regulations. At present, from the perspective of market demand, ECE members are generally willing to receive test reports and certificates that comply with ECE regulations. The products covered by the E mark certificate are parts and system components, and there is no corresponding regulation for vehicle certification. Products that have obtained the E mark certification are accepted by the market. Common domestic E-mark certified products include car bulbs, safety glass, tires, warning triangles, and automotive electronics. The testing agency for E-mark certification is generally the technical service agency of ECE member countries. The issuing authority of the E mark certificate is the government department of an ECE member country. National certificates are numbered accordingly:
E1—Germany
E2-France
E3—Italy
E4—Netherlands
E5—Sweden
E6—Belgium
E7—Hungary
E8—Czech

The e mark is a certification mark for the entire vehicle, safety parts and systems used by member states of the European Commission in accordance with EU directives. The testing agency must be a technical service agency within the EU member states, and the certification authority should be the transport department of the EU member state government. Products certified by the e mark will be recognized by all EU member states. As with the E mark certification, the certificates of each member country are correspondingly numbered:
e1—Germany
e2—France
e3—Italy
e4—The Netherlands
e5—Sweden

e9—Spain
e11—UK

Whether it is E mark or e mark certification, the product must pass the test first, and the quality assurance system of the manufacturing enterprise must also meet the requirements of the ISO9000 standard.
E / e Mark logo
The E / e Mark logo is divided into two forms, one is a rectangular frame, and the other is a circular frame, which represent different meanings:
Rectangular frame refers to a product that can be used normally but not necessary when the vehicle is stopped and running, for example:
Car charger, car lamp / torch, car air pump, car massage / heating cushion, car fan, car kettle, car refrigerator, car coffee maker, car TV / sound, car electric jack, car vacuum cleaner, car power tools, etc.
Round frame refers to the products that must be used when the vehicle is stopped and running, for example:
Windshields, seat belts, headlights and more.
The numbers in the outer box 1, 2, ... 13 ... represent the codes of the different EU member states that issued the E / e-Mark certificate. For example: 1 for Germany, 4 for Netherlands, 13 for Luxembourg, 24 for Ireland, etc., that is, e-Mark certificates issued by the Ministry of Transport of the country indicated by the code.
