FCC certification

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) was established by COMMUNICATIONACT in 1934. It is an independent agency of the US government and is directly responsible to Congress. The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio, television, telecommunications, satellite, and cable. Involving more than 50 U.S. states, Columbia, and U.S. territories. To ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property, the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology is responsible for the technical support of the committee and the equipment. Recognition matters. Many radio applications, communications products and digital products require FCC approval to enter the US market. The FCC committee investigates and studies the various stages of product safety to find the best way to solve the problem. At the same time, the FCC also includes radio equipment, aircraft testing, and so on. According to the relevant part of the United States Federal Communications Regulations (CFR47), all electronic products entering the United States need to be certified for electromagnetic compatibility (except for products specifically specified in the relevant provisions). There are three common authentication methods: Certification, DoC , Verification.

FCC Verification

Any laboratory that has obtained FCC accreditation can issue such reports. Mainly targeted products include: AV products, corded phones, general household appliances, digital devices other than PCs and PC peripherals, CASSA equipment.

FCC DOC self-declaration

Only laboratories accredited by A2LA (American Laboratory Accreditation Association) or NVLAP (American National Laboratory Accreditation System) can issue such reports and DOC declarations. Only manufacturers can put the FCC logo on their products and sell them to the United States. Main products: IT products, PCs and PC peripherals.

Certification cycle: 1-2 weeks

FCC Certification (FCC ID)

Certification method: First, the product is directly sent to the TCB laboratory in the United States for completion, but this will result in high costs and difficult time control. Second, send the product to an FCC-accredited laboratory (such as North-South) to test in the laboratory, prepare data, and complete the report. The laboratory sends the test report to the TCB agency for certification. At present, customers mainly adopt this method.

Information preparation:

Manufacturers applying for FCC Verification and FCC DOC only need to provide samples, circuit diagrams, and series differences (if any).

Information required to apply for FCCID:

    1. sample

    2. FCCID FORM

    3. Authorization Letter

  Project and certification Authorization Letter

                      Certification Agreement

                      FCC Authorization Letter

Confidential Letter (required for confidential service) or Non-confidential Letter (required for confidential service)

4. Technical Specification (technical parameters), including the following:

    A. Frequency: indicate the frequency range, or detailed frequency points

    B. Modulation: working mode, such as: FM, HFSS, DSSS, UNPS, GSM, CDMA, etc. If it is HFSS mode, the principle should be written out

    C. Antenna Specification: For products with external antennas (such as walkie-talkies), the antenna parameters (Antenna Gain) must be given.

    D. Output Power (the actual measured output power has a deviation of 5% from the customer's nominal allowance, otherwise Fail)

5. use Manual

      Beware of warnings

6. chematics (circuit diagram)

    E. Wiring diagram: the component parameters must be marked, and the antenna must be marked

   F. Component location diagram

7. lock Diagram (block diagram)

Have an antenna and mark the frequency

8. Circuit Description

Describe the circuit diagram / principle in text.

9. Turn up procedure (frequency modulation method: explain how to adjust the frequency to the corresponding frequency point)

Note: This information is not required for low frequency wireless products

Involving sound products (such as microphones and walkie-talkies) must provide input and output points of LPF (Low Pass Filter)

All Licence products must provide "bandwidth" parameters
